SONOS has never, and currently does not support static IP address assignment, and I\'m not aware of any intention to change that. However, it\'s really not a problem, as you can certainly pseudo-fix it to a single IP address with a DHCP reservation in your router... - SONOS only supports DHCP, so if you have SONOS working, you must have a router or some other device acting as a DHCP server... set reservations for the SONOS MAC addresses to the single IP you wish to assign each zoneplayer, and viola...

Quote:Hi,

I\'m looking at purchasing a Comfort Alarm System and this is one of the things holding me back currently! Is there any plans for sending commands via TCP/IP?

I\'m really looking to tie my Sonos/XBMC setup into my home automation setup.

Any ideas if this would be implemented or any feedback on the feature would be great!

Thanks!

I don\'t know whether you are aware of this - http://www.comfortforums.com/forum136/ - but it should do everything you need.

Thanks,
