Hi,my comfort panel has started calling me to tell me of a tamper fault. How do I determine what the fault is, because it doesn\'t tell me ? Can I find out through the door keypad, or do I need to plug the pooter in through the ucm ?Should this be listed in the event log ?

It\'s bizarre, it now seems to do it every few weeks, and generally at  or about 11:30.
Our system has a bunch of movement sensors,  a couple of door sensors, and a remote panel with door and movement sensors for the outbuildings. Plus a door bell button and x 10 module, but I assume they aren\'t the issue.
Any pointers as to how best to narrow down what to look at would be great.
Many thanks,    John.
p\'s,  as side from this it works a treat Smile

You can hear the event log using Keypad F5 key, or use the UCM and Comfigurator to read the event log
The event log should provide info eg \"Tamper Controller\" or \"Tamper Keypad\"
Perhaps the tamper switch on the enclosure is intermittent

Comfort if installed correctly should have a tamper wired to the casing and the bellbox
Check that the casing switches are to their limits when the lid is fixed down. The Comfort 1 units had a very good tamper switch compared to the comfort 2 units which have separate switches for the lid and case and are awful contraptions.......bring back the single microswitch with adjustment ........

Again if your set up has been profesionally installed then the sensors will be wired EOL which means that individual zones will rport a tamper - HOWEVER in this instanc the zone is also reported.
It is possible that the installer may have added the sensor tampers in parallel with the case and bell box so it will make any diagnosis much harder

Hope this helps
A

Thanks for the replies.
Currently the case tamper is ignored (the panel is tucked away, so it\'s not a big deal). It is enabled on the extension box in the garage though.
I installed it myself, but I\'m an electronics engineer, so am confident it\'s done well. And yes it fitted the el resistors to all the pirs.
I did try f5,  but it seems the log has lots in it, and whilst it reports day and month,  it doesn\'t give year (don\'t think it does anyway). So after 5 minutes of listening to the log I got bored and gave up. Can I clear the log from the keypad ?
I was hoping to get this sorted before we go abroad tomorrow, not managed it, so will check back in a couple of weeks when we get back and try again.
Thanks again for the replies.
Cheers,     John.

As I recall press F0 on keypad to enter engineer mode and then sign in with engineer code.
Then it\'s 5 and 0 to erase event log.

You can also  navigate through the event Log1 for next message2 for previous message0 for 1st message9 for last message3 for next day 4 for previous day
Or read the event log via Comfigurator

Thanks for the replies, I will check when I get come.

I have tried in the past and not manger to get comfort Client to speak. Can\'t recall why now but it was early days at the time.
Time to have another go with that too :-)

Cheers
John

Always that possibility as been around for 6.5 years now and constantly evolving.

Guess what I\'m doing right now for example! Smile

Lol ;-)

Well I am sat by the pool at a hotel in Chianti, Italy :-)
Purposely left my tablet at home, it can all wait for a week or so. Then I think I might have a go at the client etc, so brace yourself for a bunch of stupid questions Wink Big Grin
