Hi I have had this system in for a year and so far this error has occurred around 3 times, I get a communications error from the UCM/Cbus- resetting the system does not restore it and the module disappears from the modules in comfigurator. The only way to fix it is to open the alarm panel and power down. Can you confirm why this is happening?

Hi had this one several years ago on a comfort 1
I found a voltage on c-bus below 22 volts caused this.
I cant say that's a fix, but after we added additional c-bus groups (EG another Dimmer) the issue has not shown up again.

Thanks unfortunately I have my CBUS network up fully so Don't plan on adding anymore - hopefully Cytech know of another fix as this keeps causing issues.

What is the firmware of the UCM/Cbus and do you have the serial number starting with C..... or P.... on the PCB?
Upgrade it from Comfigurator if it is not the latest firmware
If there is a communications failure there may be a problem with the wiring connection, maybe the resistance of the wires ae too high. Check the wiring from Comfort to the UCM/Cbus

Hi Ident, I have checked the wires and they all connected, I did not check resistance. The Firmware is 6.011 which is the latest. Sorry I would have to open up the panel again to check for a serial number.

The next time this happens, please check
- What are the state of the leds on the UCM/Cbus? D1 to D4 which leds are on and off?
- Are D9 (red) and D10 (green) both blinking?
- When a cbus message is generated in Cbus does the BUSY1 red LED (D2) blink?
- Can you send a message to Cbus ?
