Hi,When calling my gsm module, I have the welcome message "sign in" , but have a "wrong code" when typing my *XXXX#. Same if I sign in from my landline phone . If sending **xxxx#*xxxx#, it works locally. My code is ok when signing in from the keypads. How to get in when calling my gsm module? Thanks

Hi Chiu,
I raise the gsm afe tune in parameter to 12 and I was able to sign in. But it doent work everytime. My phone shows only 1 bar reception. Could the problem comes from the gsm reception level?
Thanks
Philippe

If changing from 9 to 12 improves it, try increasing by anoither 1 to 2 steps.

No need to reset Comfort after each change

The signal level may have somethinbg to do with it as we hardly ever need to change the tuning parameters

Try recording a message via the GSM , then playback and see if it is soft. if so that means the gain is low for GSM Line in

Seems it s the reception level which is the problem. 1 bar is not enough. Thanks

Solved by adding an amplifying antenna.

Is this still a known issue? I tried to sign in remotely yesterday to listen to a voicemail but I repeatedly failed to be able to sign in by calling the GSM module. I didn't think I had any signal issues (from my mobile's end) as the voice was clear. On each call I pressed star and then put in my code but got "Wrong code", and then after same error again Comfort hung up.

I could dial into the landline ok.

I got the same result again when testing from home. I'm sure my GSM module has showed a 'good' signal from past investigations (for other issues) and it always sends and receives texts without issue.

Is my only option to add a better antenna for the GSM module? If so, is there a specific type you'd recommend?
Edit: Also, I'd forgotten I also mentioned "wrong code" issues on this other thread too and it was suggested a poor 2G signal might be the issue. However, I've just checked now and Comfigurator shows "3 - Good" for signal strength yet a test dial-in still failed with wrong code.
So, would you recommend I try editing any parameters first before looking into buying a new antenna?

If you still have a 2G or 3G GSM Module then the transmission of DTMF signals is not as good as 4G. A high gain antenna is probably the best solution. See the photo below of oir high gain antenna. the new UCM/4G has 2 connectors for antennas ( extra diversity antenna) as this may be needed in some locations

Ok, thanks.
Can you tell me the proper name of the antenna connector on the GSM4 3G module so I can make sure I get the right one for now (if I don't opt for the newer A7680 UCM)?
