I've had this a few times - previously, I either did a reset on the CBUSUCM(so powered it all down) and also a firmware upgrade.
Last thing I did was 2 weeks ago doing a power down so the PIR's could be disconnected for decorating.
I've now noticed there is no answerphone message on the system - again !
Why does it keep losing the answerphone ? Is there a fix for this ?

What is your Comfort firmware version? If you have lower than 5.054, you will need an upgrade firmware which is supplied free of charge. When this 5.054 or later firmware is first used, it will erase your messages. You are also advised to do a "Delete all Mailboxes" on the keypad when you first run the new firmware (program Menu 5,0)

I've had the latest firmware change already - ive lost the greeting message twice since then.
Im already on 5.054
Is there likely to be a response on this this ? Not exactly a minor problem

We are trying to duplicate the loss of greeting message that you report
Can you give as much information as you can abot this
What is lost, just the greeting message or other recorded messages, user names etc?
When does this happen, be as precise s possible. How long after you record the message?

I always delete the recorded messages after I listen to them.
Since the 5.054 upgrade (around 4 weeks ago), I've lost the greeting messages 3 times. Once was immediately after the firmware change (and so expected?)
We dont use usernames - just one single mailbox.
As I dont check the greeting is still there (why would I?), it's not until someone complains they cant leave a message that I check. I think the last one was possibly round a week after I recorded it.

We are still testing our bench systems to get this to happen. If you should experience this again, any other information will be helpful
Has anyone experienced any more incidents of Comfort losing the Greeting messages?
Other than when the first time the firmware was upgraded to 5.054 or above?

Hello CHiu,
I also have the same problem. the last month it did not occur, but previously i also had a disappearing greeting message, and even the mailbox user names were erased!
It happened with me after 2 resets, one through comfigurator, one through the hard reset switch.

That's odd. I'm testing my system to have the 'answer in 2 rings' bug solved. I did turn on the answering machine bypass and uploaded my config to comfort. Comfort did a reset on the end and now my usernames and greeting message are again lost!
This is a very serious bug, also when i again unselect the answering machine bypass and dial in, my system is not picking op anymore with an incoming call!
So with 5.054 i experience 2 very annoying bugs: lost usernames / greeting message and '2 rings before answer' when bypass is activated, no answering when unactivated!
The last one could be due to a new pabx (ISDN-->analog) but why is it responding after 2 rings in bypass mode? I can detect the rings as it seems..

For the system not answering, it may be due to the PABX. Internal calls and external calls have different ring cadences and this messes up the algorithm to determine when the ring has ended
Can you try this:
Reset Comfort
Now use an external phone to dial in
Does Comfort answer as expected now?
For those who are affected, we will supply new firmware when we have confiomred the fix
For the loss of greeting message, does that happen every time that you do a reset?

Hello CHiu,
No, comfort does not answer with an external call right after a reset. Also when i try a internal call after this external call comfort also does not answer (as before). When i reset comfort again and place an internal call, comfort is answering fine.

We suspect that this may be due to improper grounding or shorts on the enclosure that was supplied with Comfort. Can you isolate the Comfort PCB from the mounting metal standoffs, by using a washer or any other insulator, making sure that there is no conducting path between the Comfort PCB and the chassis
Lets see if the problem with greeting messages still persists or not
We have been testing this for some time and are unable to duplicate at all even once

I've just checked - and ive lost my ansaphone message again.
Today, I powered down the system to put the plastic supports on.
Also tried to leave a message - and no anserphone light on the keypad still.

Please check if your Greeting message is lost again after adding the spacers
We will send a test firmware with a new event log event for messages erased so that we can trace when this happens (after our own testing on the firmware).
See if the Message LED behaves in the same way

When I said "I've just checked - and ive lost my ansaphone message again."
That was actually "I have lost the greeting message" - you just get the "please sign in" message.

The same here.... - What I lost on each occasion was the outgoing greeting message, *and* the recorded names for all mailboxes, so I just got the "please sign in..." prompt when I dialed into the system.
I'm assuming I lost actual messages too, but it's impossible to be sure, because every time it's happened I've been away and dialling in remotely, so I've never been able to check the message LED status. I know that once I'd re-recorded the mailbox names & the greeting message, then signed in as each user, there were no new messages in the voicemail box for any user. What I *don't* for sure, is if there were supposed to have been any (i.e. if any had been left prior to the wipe ocurring).
Thanks
Paul G.

It's gone again.
Also, ive noticed another issue with this - i had a courier attempt a delivery at 3.35pm today. And the system did NOT call me so I didnt know he was here.
Another one to add to the long list of problems !

We will send a new (beta) firmware which records the deletion of all messages or groups of messages (eg names, Greeting message) in the event log to all users who have experienced this problem. This will help to pinpoint what caused this, or at least when it happened
For the case where the door station failed to dial out, please send us the event log. This will contain the doorbell event and the dial out attempt(s) which occured.
In the ccl files that you have sent, there are no programmed phone numbers. I presume you have removed this for privacy reasons
regards

More oddness happening.
So now the doorphone wont call out - except the system is trying to call, but it's certainly not dialling the numbers in the config. And it keep trying to do this constantly for hours on end unless you reset the system. I dont know what it's trying to dial !
Also, whilst i stood at the front door testing various button presses and calling the house, i noticed the doorphone "ding dong" sometimes works on the doorphone, sometimes doesnt.
Also, and ive heard this before, when i came back into the house and signed in to disable away mode, it announced the 2 messages i left, then said at the end "Day 8 pm" - why would it say this ? This is the 3rd time Ive heard this...
Extract from this morning's log - Im going to have to turn this off. We shall see if this is costing me money.
