This forum is for support of the new Comfort iPad App.
PDF Instructions can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/comfort_ipad_app.html
Comfort for iPad app is on iTunes at this link https://itunes.apple.com/sg/app/cytech-comfort-for-ipad/id635704532?mt=8 or on your iPad search for Cytech Comfort and choose the iPad app NOT the separate iPhone app
Minimum firmware is Comfort and UCM version 7.xxx
Setup
Install the Comfort app on your ipad. Search for Cytech Comfort on iTunes, and select the iPad and not the separate iPhone app
You will need to upload the cclx file used to program the Comfort system to the Cytech server. This converts the cclx file to a format that can be used in the iPad.
Go to http://www.cytech.biz/crl_comfort_app_convertor.php
Enter your name, an email that can be opened on your iPad, and browse for the cclx file.
Select iPad/Android. Click “Upload Fileâ€
Go you your iPad and open your email client. DO NOT use webmail by browser - that will NOT work.
Look for the email titled “Comfort Conversion Serviceâ€
Tap on the attachment which should be a .jcrlccip file.
A message appears with options to select which app to open in
Select “Open in Comfort4iPadâ€
The next screen gives an option to select one of the configurations in the iPad app. “Home†and
“Office†are available by default. Multiple configurations allow you to control several Comforts.
Select any unused config.
Open the app if it does not automatically open

The fields are as follows;
Comfort System Name
Enter the name of the system or config, eg Home, Office are defaults but can be renamed
Load Config File
This allows you to use a .jrlccip file that is aready in the iPad (eg saved previously)
Internet IP address and Port: This is for accessing your system remotely, ie by Internet
LAN IP address and Port: This is for accessing your system locally, ie by LAN
These fields will be populated from the cclx file (Comfigurator Options > Settings > UCM Connections) for convenience
Select the button for Internet or LAN to connect to your system depending on how you are
connected
Cam1 to Cam4
These are for viewing IP cameras connected to the network
Name
For each camera a Name must be entered and the checkbox to the left must be ticked to enable the camera
Access Using:
There are 2 options: URL and IP Cam Viewer
URL means the IP camera is accessed by Safari using its IP address and port
For URL enter the User ID and password for the IP camera. If not used, leave it blank
Enter IP address and Port for Internet and LAN access
IP Cam Viewer is a 3rd party application to access the IP cameras. If you select this option, going to the cameras page will leave the Comfort app and launch the IP cam viewer app. Management of the IP cameras will be by that app, so the IP address and Port will not be used.
When the fields have been filled in, make sure your Internet/LAN status is selected correctly and press Done on the top left of the screen
The wifi icon on the top left should show connected if the Internet/LAN button has been selected
correctly and the IP address and Port are correct. If not it may show Data Error.
The config eg Home, Offce selected is shown on the top right as well as the IP address and port selected.
If “connected†status is shown, press the green button “Enter User Code and Loginâ€
Enter the user code here eg 1234 and press OK
If the code is incorrect, an error message will pop up saying “Invalid Log in - Please Retryâ€
If the code is correct, the Alarms page will appear as shown below
Note for LOCAL connection (not Remote), there is an option to auto-log in, ie once a corect code has been entered, the code is remembered so there is no need to re-enter the code to log in each time
The autologin feature is disabled when the connection is remote ie Internet for security reasons
The saved login code can be deleted in the Configuration page by pressing “Clear Passwordâ€
Note that Comfort UCM/Eth02 is normally configured to auto-log out after 2 minutes of inactivity (data transfer) so the app will be logged out at that time unless you continue to send commands to Comfort
To be continued in the next post

Control Page
The top left area are buttons to arm or disarm the system (the same thing can be done from within the alarms page as described in the previous section)
The top centre title area shows the latest event/alarm
eg Alarm: System Armed - User01
The rest of the screen shows Home Control Group, Home Control Appliance and Home Control Actions
There are up to 8 Home Control Groups, each with 10 Home Control Appliances, with each Appliance having up to 10 Home Control Commands.
Start by selecting a Home Control Group
The screen shows the Lights Group.
In the above example Porch Light was selected. The Home control Command on the right shows the available commands for Porch Light. The status for all the appliances in the Lights group is displayed in the centre pane
To go to the alarms page swipe to the left
To go to the Cameras Page swipe to the right

Cameras Page
In the example above, camera 1 is set for IP Cam Viewer, Camera to is by IP address
The button "Launch IP Cam Viewer" will launch that app. If the app is not found ion your iPad you will be redirected to the App store to download it.
Once the IP Cam Viewer app launches, you will leave the Comfort app. You can come back to the Comfort app within 2 minutes without logging in, otherwise you will need to log in again.

Comfort for iPad version 1.2 is now available from iTunes.
This fixes the problem in iOS7 where the log in box was not visible for remote arming/disarming
There is a problem with the converted file for the iPad app if Comfigurator 3.7.6 is used to generate the cclx file
The converted jrlccip file in the attached email does not work with the ipad due to a change in the cclx file created or modified by Comfigurator 3.7.6
Do not generate a new file for the iPad app until the conversion utility has been updated
