I have started the new word list , I have 136 new words (some may already be in Comfort) is there a max amount of words we can have and how long will it take to add the words?

Are the words on a chip that you can send and we can change?

The new words are in addition to the ones used now by Comfort.

You will not be able to add so many words to Comfort. The word memory is restricted to a specific area of the Flash memory
There is somne extra room for more words but if you have a substantial number you will need to remove some words

The VoiceProc and VoicePlay tools will allow you to manage the word list
Download from http://www.cytech.biz/software.html

The instructions are here http://www.cytech.biz/Downloads/Files/35/voiceproc.pdf

The list of words that we have had Kate record are attached. These are available to add to the wordlist so you can check if the words are there alaready, otherwise someone wil have to record them

Attachment: words.pdf (Downloaded 10 times)

The list of user words helps if we can lose some off the existing chip.  Approximately how many words can we have altogether.  We could probably lose some of the setup phrases as well.

We can't mix a new voice so will have to either refine a new list or look at an alternative way.

The number of words depends on the length of the sound, so it is difficult to give an acrtual figure. I remember that there was room for a few more words only inthe current vocab
What you can do is to customise the words for each job or each type of configuration where a set of words is needed, using the software

As for additonal words, we can get the same girl to record additional words,  There wil be a change for the talent and studio time so you should thin of all the extra words in one go

I have not looked at this for a while, but there is also some trade off / efficiencies between words and phrases I believe?

e.g. 'Take your Pill' would be smaller in memory size than the 3 separate words but would not allow the indvidual words to be reused.

I suppose the question that should be also asked is can the NVM chip increase in size now / future etc.

For normal (security / automation) usage there are already a few words that would be considered fairly essential. I forget off hand, but can remember using 'Garden Room' as a substitute for Conservatory.  In bigger houses people also have 'Drawing Room' etc. (and might already have a Living Room and Dining Room)
