I have a customer with the following problem:-
The answer machine does not hang up and records dial tone after the caller has cleared down (hung up) for maybe 1min.
Have tried various tuning parameters but no luck?

Ir it could be due to your firmware version. Check the firmware (see label on U1 IC or do Transfer > System Information)
