Does anyone know what the minimum requirements are for the UCM05 to work with Minder Pro? I just heard that the UCM05 might not work with some Minder Pro panels - like mine. D2 and D12 are permanently on, even a Hyperterminal session doesn't give me any response back.

Thanks, Ingo

UCM05 should work with any Minder Pro panels. What UCM firmware are you using?
What error message are you getting? Make sure you use the latest Comfigurator software version 2.2.3 and when you plug in your UCM05 D9 and D10 LEDs should be flashing. Or perhaps your UCM ID setting?

I unfortunately cannot tell you what firmware I'm using. I sent the unit back to Clipsal SA for replacement - I thought it was DOA. When I called them a few weeks later to check on my replacement I was told more people have the same issue and they are investigating. There are no error messages, Comfigurator doesn't see Minder Pro and as previously mentioned D2 and D12 are permanently lit. I thought my Panel was broken so I tried my old UCM/Serial and everything works fine. I actually tried it on my old Minder Pro (bought in 2006) and the new panel (end 2007 model with slightly newer firmware) with the same results. The ID settings are exactly the same as the old one, I know because I have two UCM's (Serial and CBus) and that is the first thing I made sure off.

Hi, I am sure they have started asking questions regarding this issue, maybe it's just early days yet.
