We have installed a Comfort Generation I at a site using two DM02 Doorphone Modules and two Fermax 8300 Doorphones.
The DM02 card that is addressed as ID2 has a problem: you can listen to the person talking on the KP04 from the doorphone but not the other way around.

We swapped DM02 cards, swapped addresses, replaced the D002 cards, adjust the volume on the Fermax, but the problem is still there with the DP set with ID=2.

Comfort:

Firmware Type:    Action
Version      :    4.233
File System  :    24

Thanks,
Marinos

I suppose the DM02 with ID=1 is working as expected?

Are you talking to the Fermax using the Keypad? Take note that for Comfort I, taling is in one direction only, either the keypad or Door station can talk at one time
You must press 0 on the keypad to change directions

Can you try talking to the door station using the telephone?

Yes for the DM02 which has an ID=1 everything works as described in the manual.

The problem appears ONLY when the ID=2.

We can't check at the moment talking via the telephones becuase there is no line telephone line installed and no ringers.

The worst case scenario is to uninstall the DMO2s and do a bench test in the office.

It will help us though not to give a bad impression to the customer (uninstall) if you could try to reproduce it?

Thanks
Marinos

We will test this situation to see if it can be duplicated

We have found what is causing this problem
When you talk to the Door station (or DM02) you should press 0 to switch directions instead of 1
Pressing 1 will allow you to hear on the Door station but not the other way, as you have found

Pressing 1 or 2 selects the ID of the door station

Always answer by pressing 0 OR the Door station ID number (1 or 2)
Press 0 to switch directions between talk and listen

If you are answering Door station ID2 and you press 1, that means you are communicating with Door statiom ID 1

As you will not know which door station is calling, always press 0 to answer the Door station and 0 to switch directions (in Comfort I)

Note that in Comfort 2, the audio is two way so there is no need to switch the directions
