This is white with matching buttons
We will do a new completely new design in due course but this takes time. This is an interim step,. IT DOES NOT REPLACE A NEW DESIGN IN THE FUTURE!!!

These do look better :) but not wanting to dismiss your efforts I  think the consensus is that we do need a new keypad. If price point is an issue then may be you run with your revised deigns for now and work on an all new keypad (KP05).

Gary
There may be a consensus about the need for a completely new keypad but  that is  a completely separate matter which will take many months and require lots of $$$ and has nothing to do with this effort.

This is just about an improvement to the existing keypad design  which can be done fairly fast. We are just trying to get reactions if this design is beetre than the existing one

There are no shortage of other options like Dynalite touchscreen, KT01, Companion etc for those who require high end solutions

regards

Hello...

I like of this "new" look... go on...

But i still think that we need a flush mount keypad... i'm not talking of a touch screen or nothing... just one keypad flush mounted... maybe this "new" one, but with the possibility of flush mount... i know that the volume control in the side is the problem... but maybe you can arranje that with some litle work... myabe if you get a box, and get a way of fit the keypad inside, even if it not totaly inside, but a part of it...

Best Regards,

Luís Dias

Absolutely and I do understand so as I said facelifts are better.

It is so easy for us just to request things but not have the full picture or appreciate the R&D costs and timelines. Having said that I think what many of us are looking for is something between a full-on touch panel costing ££££ and a basic plastic keypad.

I think I could sell flush mounted KP04's with a metal face plate even though there are others that do not like the design.

Maybe a third party could come up with a KP04 conversion kit (B&S?).

Those pictures make it look like a child's toy. You'll have The Matrix screensavers on it next !

I know it costs money $$$$$ to re-develop a new keypad but I don't think Cytech can afford not to. I have lost 7 Comfort sales so far this year all due to the look of the KP-04. (I have had to install other products!!)

If these numbers are similar with all the others installers in the world, that's allot of lost sales for Cytech!!
This issue should be their number 1 concern.

A new key pad would be the best business decision they could make, actually for all of us!!

My 2 cents........:?

Regards,

Scott

Many people have misunderstood what this is about. I have never said that we will not develop a new keypad. However that takes time as well as $$$$ and we need to ensure we get it right.

This is a facelift to the existing keypads which may make them more acceptable tp many but not all

It does not mean we do the facelift and not a full redesign later. We will make a new keypad

I know this is an old thread but just been reading it and thought I'd add my comments on the 'refresh' of the existing keypad.

I think adding any form of logo etc (e.g. the C or Comfort logo) on the keypads is a VERY bad idea - just clutters the design and makes it look even cheaper - I certainly don't want logo's on stuff I display on my walls if I can help it.

I also agree that the images posted of the silver/white keypads make it look like a mass produced toy! The button graphics colour is also way off - far too bright.

Thanks for the feedback Paul
However we have had other comments before that the space on the top right was incomplete and needed something there.
This is not an obtrusive logo though

OK - everyone has their own opinion - and design of this type of keypad is always going to be very difficult for you as it wont please everyone! IMO, less is definately more! :)

Cheers.
