Hi All,
We had a power failure three days ago, for six hours. When I got home the same evening the battery warning LED was off and all looked fine.
A day later in the evening when I got home, the Battery Warning LED was flashing. The event log stated that the Battery warning was from around 07H00 in the morning.
24 hours later the LED is still flashing.
How long ( in normal condition) should the battery warning last?
I remember I had a similar issue a while ago and after reseting the panel, the LED stopped flashing.

The battery warning will flash when Comfort detects low battery
This normally happens when the AC is off, unless the battery has gone bad and is pulling down the AC regulated supply. When the AC is restored and starts charging the battery, the Battery warning LED should switch off but after you have signed in to acknowledge the low battery alarm. Sometimes after a prolonged power failure, the battery may be discharged completely and this may damage the battery - in this case the battery warning led will continue to flash. Comfort 2 has a built in Flat battery shut off which prevents this from happening
In such cases, always give the firmware version as that may help to identify what should happen as there may be changes in operation with different firmware versions, and whether you have Comfort I or 2

I am using Comfort I and the firmware version is Action 4.227. The LED is still flashing.Last edited on Wednesday Mar 28th, 2007 04:25 pm by Howser

That is important because there has been changes in Comfort II for battery detection
When you sign in on the keypad, do you get the Battery Warning message? This means that the battery is low. Perhaps it has been damaged due to prolonged discharge. Measure the battery voltage with a voltameter while connected to Comfort and witrh the AC switched OFF. This will tell you the battery voltage on load
Try removing the battery, see if the Battery warning message is still present. If it is gone, then you may need a new battery

I was forced to reset the panel, and that fixed the battery warning LED flash. Strange.

I should have asked you to do a Battery test F3,1 - that may have cleared it
