Hi
Is there an easy way to force Comfort to send the output states to Cbus.

Reason: I have a PC running "C-gate" and "Homegate", This PC is turned off at night now to save power when it wakes up it syncs with the Cbus network but misses the Comfort derived changes as they don't exist .

If there were/is a command on Comfort to resend the current state of the Outputs to the UCM/Cbus2 life would be good.

Thanks in advance
Mike

In the Cbus Lighting Tab, select Register Type Output and map the Cbus group address to any Output. This means the selected Output change will also synchronise with the mapped Cbus group addfress

Thanks ChiuThat's what I have been doing. and it works great if everything is connected But if I have then turn the Pc off when I turn it back on the Cbus Sync works but it doesn' give me the  readings for any think that was set whilst the PC was off.It would take a change from comfort to register  a Cbus change
My examples in the picture show UPS1 > 6 these are just relays to shed load.  so I don't want to toggle them just to show what is on or offbut if comfort to send a level to Cbus that should Sync it

Julian's ComfortClient can read all the levels but that is just internal to that program.

Also if you look at the attachment
I have noticed that
the UCM-Cbus Status doesn't match the real settings in Comfort or Toolkit
UPS1         ON                                                                    OFF       OFF
UPS2         OFF                                                                   ON        ON
UPS3         ON                                                                    OFF       OFF
UPS4         ON                                                                    ON        ON
UPS5         OFF                                                                   ON        ON
UPS6         OFF                                                                   OFF       OFF

The system is working fine, but I can't resolve it at all

Thanks
Mike

I am not sure I understand this. The cbus group addresses and the Comfort Output states should not have anything to do with the PC being on or off.   If you leave the PC on ten all the states are correct? The image in the attachment is too small to see properly

I've just tested the Output to Cbus mapping and it seems to work fine. Here is the process I followed:

1. Map Cbus Group 64 to Output 64 and write to EEPROM.
2. Saved Write Selective to Comfort (Reset)
3. Test with ComfortClient and Toolkit to verify online changes - working in realtime.
4. Close Toolkit and CGate.
5. Set Output 64 to On (O!4001)
6. Start Toolkit and Cgate.
7. During Toolkit Network Sync it updated Group 64 to 01.

Some Data:

- UCM/Cbus2 firmware 7.136
- Toolkit 1.15.5

Below can be seen that in CC I set the Output to On at 21:59:22 and then I started Toolkit and it updated Cbus at 21:59:48 during the Sync process.

Thanks Ingo
Can you confirm your UCM/CBUS2 Properties are the same as mine please?

Looking at SIM Option: Monitor
and
Monitor mode at reset

Thanks in Advance

Mike

Mike,

Those two options are similar. If you'd like, perhaps you could ask Chiu to make available this pre-release version to see if it helps. If I recall there has been some optimizations done which is still in a testing phase.

Regards,
Ingo

You can download Cbus2 v6.136 from here http://www.cytech.biz/product_details.php?item_id=410

We have found the problem with the output states in the Cbus to Comfort window
If a Cbus Group address is mapped to an Output, that means the Cbus address will control the output

eg in the program below, Cbus lighting address 32 Controls Output 22 Cbus address 33 controls Output 23, Cbus address 34 controls Output 24 on Comfort
This works correctly, the cbus addresses control the Outputs as expected.
However the Status shown in this window is wrong eg Output  23 status is shown in Output 22 position, Output 24 status is shown in Output 22.

The Output status in Comfort Registers is correct. The wrong Output status is only in the Cbus to Comfort screen.

This will be fixed in the next version  along with other changes

In the screenshot below, Outpot 23 is Off, Output 24 is actually On, but the status shows and Output 23 is On and Output 24 is OFF .
