Hi Chiu
currently, when mapping comfort zones to KNX Group Addresses, 0 = Off, 1 = On.
Is it possible, to allow the user to invert the values sent to the bus: 0 = On, 1 = Off ?
Thanks
Massimo

If you use Physical zone mapping to KNX you cannot change the meaning of 0 for off, 1 for on. That is the universal meaning of 0 and 1. One would not normally associate 0 for on and 1 for on
However if you use Zone Responses to send KNX telegrams then you are free to send any KNX telegram for each zone on and zone off event

Hello Chiu.
Good idea. Thank you.
With Voice Assistants like Alexa, Siri, Google home, the mapping must be 0 = On, 1 = Off.
Bye.

Hi Chiu.
I spoke with an Apple Homekit developer about that.
It makes somewhat sense.
Contact Sensor device type (in all 3 voice assistants) bring the zone value as is.

If the contact is closed, the zone is INACTIVE (like in Comfort), therefore for these 3 assistants, the zone is secure and they represent that with "Off" (that means "no problems")

If the contact is open, the zone goes to ACTIVE, therefore for these 3 assistants, the zone is unsecure and they represent that with "ON" (that means "hey, there is a problem here").

For now, i solved by unmapping Zones from KNX/UCM and by using the UCM/PI to do an inversion of the zone values, but you'll find out having same issues like this one, as soon as some Comfort installer will try to link KNX zones with the voice assistants.

;-)

Comfort zone types can be Normally Open or Normally Off
If you want contact Closed to be Off and Open to be On, the you select a Normally Closed Zone Type eg Switch Normally Closed

Hence yoiu do not need to make amyu special zone responses, just map input to KNX dorectly
