Today I tried to update my comfort system and while exporting (writing) cclx file from PC into comfort I encountered this error"Failed to write to UCM"
Error keeps repeating no matter how many times I try.
My system is still using UCM ETH02 though I have order a new UCM ETH03, it is not going to arrive till end of next week. I have lost control over most of the lights and curtains in the house so if I get UCM ETH 02 updated with a new cclx file I might get temporary control over the system till new UCM arrives. Any help to sort this will be much appreciated.Attachment: error.JPG (Downloaded 34 times)

There may be a problem with your network, or possibly a fault with the old ETTH02
make sure you have the original cclx file which was used to program the system so you can write to Comfort when the new UCM arrives.

Thanks Chui,
Checked LAN (ping working fine) plus I could execute few commands from comfigurator (like closing blinds and turn off lights).
I can read from Comfort to PC but can't write back.
I guess it may be UCM ETH02 is faulty, will come to know when I install new UCM ETH03 next week.

Hi Chiu,
Got ETH03 today, installed it (after taking old ucm out) and uploaded the original cclx file into comfort without any trouble.
I still dont have responses (PIRs and lights turning on, nor curtains moving).
The comfig software shows UCM 02 ( UCM/CBUS) "not supported by firmware"When I tried to update its firmware, I cant because during the process system asks for F0 at keypad before it can update. My keypads are greyed out at comfig and pressing Fn plus 0 on keypad doesnot seem to do anything.
Please see photos attached
Appreciate your help.
Thanks MuddiAttachment: keypad.JPG (Downloaded 26 times)

Thought it could be issue with ID of UCMs and keypads.Tried scan all modules and "write module and settings to comfort" but again F0 and engineering code is not working ( i am using default Fn plus 0 on key pad and 6789 as engineering code on PC).

F plus 0 on keypads (tried all three) was not working. Finally managed to enter engineer mode by executing it through Comfigurator (in the response tabs) and that did the trick.
Managed to update firmware of UCM Cbus and then uploaded cclx file again.
Had to do it few times as not all functions were copying (especially the curtains).
Did "selective write" couple of time and eventually got all it written into comfort.
Looks good now, all PIRs, curtains, and lights are working fine. Alarm functioning OK!!
Just have to update my cclx file to make it work with android app.
Thanks for your prompt help Chiu.

If F0 did not allow upgrade, it is probably because the function for Key 0 was reprogramed from default
Anyway gfood that you got it working

So far I have not encountered any major issue on android app.
Works seamlessly while I am on LAN.
I am having trouble using remote access, would appreciate if someone could direct me to a thread on remote access setup and port forwarding. I have tried DynDNS and Noip but I am not able to log in while away from home.
Many thanks

You need to set up port forwardibng on your router to forward an Internet IP Port to your locak IP address and PortThe way to do it depends on your routersee an example of the Asus router here https://portforward.com/asus/rt-ac68u/
The guide shows you how to set up a fixed IP address on your computer. Ignore this, you need to have a fixed IP address in UCM/ETH03 via Comfort server manager

Thanks, port forwarding worked and I have remote access now!
It ay be helpful for futures users to know that to use port 1001 or 1002 in your router for port forwarding because they are the default ports for ETH03.

It is a good iodea to use higher numbered ports to reduce the chance of someone guessing the port
