Hello ,I just installed a GSM4 module. I am struggling finding a good position for the antenna and get a better reception. The log indicates a lot of trouble/restore messages. The best I have so far is a signal strength 2.

1- Is there a way to lock the module on 2G?

2- My antenna is very closed to the roof. So adding the adm02 modules should not help me I guess. Would it be possible to expand the antenna cable and put it outside on the roof? Or would an external and amplified antenna would be a solution?Ant recommended product?Thank you for your

help

Philippe

ADM02 can still help by allowing the UCM/GSM4 module to be located in a better position

There are some who have just extended the antenna cable by cutting and joining the cablee, buy I am not sure how well that would work in general

We have another antenna which is a higher gain type see attached image
in our testing it has increased the level by 1.

Thanks Chiu, I will find one antenna and try. I wonder I should maybe buy a repeater (I have also the reception problem with my cell phones). But there are bloody expensive.

That is an interesting device. Did you have to change the connector to MMCX or doe it come with? It does not state that it has MMCX
