following on from the thread here,

Can I add the following request to comfort programming (so comfort and Comfigurator I guess):
- the ability for a response to check which holiday is active (if 'holiday' were an integer rather than boolean it could hold the id of the holiday entry that has set it)
- if possible the ability to set a period (eg 5 days) or end date for a holiday entry

It would then be possible to check which holiday entry is active.

Can I also add the following requests for android app please:
- can you add the same show timer / camera checkboxes as are now in ios app,
- can you make it possible to configure the holiday entries, so they can be set without needing reprogramming via Comfigurator

Many Thanks.

Why do you need to know which holiday entry is active?
Unless it is generally very useful to many users it may not be practical to make the change

Some of the changes may come to the android app. However he ability to change holidays on the app may not be one as it is not possible to do it in Ios

This is all just a reversal of logic. Rather than having a timer event fire every day and then check dates hard coded into a response, why not have the ability to make the dates variable too.
Having the ability to enable a timer on a specific day of the week at a given time is OK up to a point. If I could combine this with specific date ranges it becomes so much more useful.
It would be so much more convenient too if I could set the month and day of the holiday entries via the app, as the dates change every year. This avoids having to use comfigurator to do it, and means even the tech-challenged members of the family can do it.
Some example's of what I want to do :When we are on holiday we have a neighbour feed our animals, and they need to access some of our outbuildings too.Currently they come in the house and turn the alarm off whilst here, and reset it afterwards (when they remember :-/ )Add to this, during our summer holidays we have a chap come and mow the lawns and paddock. He needs different access, so I could set a different holiday.
I am working on responses triggered by timers when holidays are set to check the alarm is reenabled, or disable door and movement on the specific areas (I have considered partitions, but they don't quite work how I want either - if I turn the alarm off in the house I want all partitions to go off - other partitions are sub regions not separate regions)
Finally, at this time of year we want certain outdoor lights to be on from sunset for a few weeks.
Not being able to differentiate between the holidays isn't a massive problem, but it would avoid having to alter responses. Maybe this isn't the best way to do it, but this is only a wish after all :)Or maybe all I need is for partitions to work differently...
Many thanks.

I think what you refer to as "Holidays" ie when you are away on holiday, is not the same as Holidays in Time Programs. Those Time Program Holidays are public holidays (or "bank holidays" as you call it in the UK)

What you need seems to be better handled by Vacation Mode which is the same as Away Mode, but Vacation Programs can be programmed to run at semi random times. You do not want to use the Vacation Programs for your purposes, but you can do a check for "If security Mode = Vacation" in your responses to know if you have gone on holiday

However the keypad does not have a short cut key for Vacation Mode (as there are not enough keys)
you can do it in the menu, 1 to Arm Security System, 4 for Vacation Mode

ok, thanks.

Yes I realised your 'Holiday' Time Program is more to do with businesses on public holidays, as the programming examples indicate.

It seems I'm simply trying to do something its not really intended for.

These wishes would make it more suitable for how we would like to use it. If it cannot do it, or no one else sees the value in this, its not a problem, it just means its less flexible than I would like.

Regarding vacation mode, I want these outbuildings covered when the neighbours arent there. Allowing access for the duration of our holiday is less than ideal.

Its been tricky enough getting our neighbour just to sign in and then set the alarm again when they are done. Trying to get them to set it to vacation mode and back again might be a step too far, but thanks for the suggestion.

You can also dial in to the system to set and unset the system for your neighbours, or send an SMS to do the same (with UCM/GSM). That may be the simplest way which does not require setting holidays
