Hi Alphwerk team,
Will their be any chance that their will be a command sequences for the Comfort IR interface so that you can voice control IR signals from comfort?

Do you mean add a device type to SmartThings to control IR devices via Comfort? I think this could be done, what sort of actions / buttons / functionality would be needed in such a device?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt sorry for slow reply been away, the comfort IR works through any output with the IR connected and the comands are sent to the IR through the selected Output so I presume it would have to be a comnad line, (not sure If I am explaining this correctly, Sly chiu could probalbly explain it to create the sequencce for it in a more tehnincal way that would be easier).....

The IR action selects an IR code number and an Output so you could send any IR code to any output with an IR emitter

However in the new IRIO we have a ISM03 submodule which is designed  specifically to make sending of IR codes easier which is mapped to Counters and Flags

Perhaps to make it easier and more general, the buttons or controls could be mapped to any counter or flag. Counters can also trigger counter responses which can take care of the IR commands in Comfort.
