Hi, Bit of a problem here.I upgraded to comfort 2 pcb, and converted the previous config file to comfort 2 ultra format. I saved the file and all seemed fine. It uploaded to the new board too (checked each zone in engineer mode). There were two issues (see below) but generally it's fine. After the above I then did a whole load of updates for the control menu, and added the irio configuration. This was again saved, but not uploaded as the irio isn't connected yet. Tonight I have fired up comfigurator, selected the file, and got the above. I have opened the file in notepad and it generally looks ok (I don't have the schema so can't validate it against that). On a different subject (so probably needs a different topic, unless it's related):
Thanks in advance. Last edited on Tuesday Aug 23rd, 2016 12:23 am by John W |

Sorry, just notice my spell checker modified the title. It should be external, not excel. |

I have managed to retrieve a backup that has all the control menu changes, but none of the Irio ones, or the flags I had configured. Interestingly having retrieved this I saved it to file in comfort 2.x format. If I compare this to the previous file that wont load, this one is not in xml format. This file wont load either, it gives the same exception... I Dont know if that helps any. I'm off to upgrade to the next version, see if that changes anything.. 3.11.6 gives exactly the same behavior, cant load either of the ccl files, but can retrieve the last backup. If I save it to file and then try to load the file it fails. |

YAY ! I got to the bottom of it. It seems the problem was me saving using comfort 2.x format. For whatever reason, the original file I couldn't load that was xml format was actually a cclx file named with a ccl file extension. I have no idea how I managed to do this. I can confirm though that loading the backup, saving in 2.x (ccl) format and then trying to open fails. saving as cclx format works just fine. I may be wrong, but I think there may be some potential for confusion here. Is the 2.x format actually for comfigurator 2.x, and not comfort 2.x ? Hopefully someone will confirm this is the case. now to fix the ringer... |

I am glad you sorted that out The .ccl format is for Comfigurator 2.x and cclx is an xml format used in Comfigurator 3.x Comfigurator 3 was completely redesigned using .NET The cclx format supports Comfort 1 and Comfort 2 hardware.. There is no Comfort 2.x |
