Do any ucms support rs232 at 57600? I have these modules

I'm eyeing up a new matrix and that's the speed it supports for control

Thanks.

A few years back I had a similar question and strangely also for a Matrix switch. If I recall the reply was that 57600 wasn't a common speed - to which I disagreed but left it there. I settled on 19200 eventually. From the UCM/Universal manual you could do either 38400 or 76800.

The General UCM has a fixed baud rate of 9600
The Universal UCM is able to select different baud rates; 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, and 57600. the last baud rate was added not very long ago

Upgrade to the latest version

The General UCM communicates using the Comfort protocol

The Universal UCM is designed to communicate using other 3rd party protocol

That is the general UCM because of the label UCM 5.192

Universal UCM will have the label Universal 6.xxx

You are right, it was 'added' instead of 'inserted' :D

I've had a quote from Comfort.org.uk :

RS232 UCM/232F (9600)

Now I don't like the sound of the 9600 portion of that. Is that an old part, and there's something newer I need?

or to put it another way - what's the exact part I need for 57600 action?

Thanks

  1. UCM/Universal
  2. RS232M or F
UCM/universal comes without the submodule. you can plug in rs232, rs485 or eth03 on top of it depending on the interface required
The part quoted is not the right one. do not buy it
