Hi Chiu

My setting PIR:
Zone 7: Family Hall movement
Alarm type: PIRAway
On response: AnnounceZone
Off response: AnnounceZone

Alarm type: PIRAway
Security Off/Day/Night/Away: Disabled
AlarmTypeNormal: HomeSafe
AlarmTypeTrouble: HomeSafe

As you can see, even On/Off is just announcezone, and Normal/Trouble is Homesafe.

HOWEVER, whenever the PIR detected movement, it still will always triggers Output5On (FamilyHallLightOn)! This is driving me crazy!

Please advise.

Thanks
ps

cclx file sent.

By the way, the problematic PIR zone is Zone 8 not 7.

Right Click on "Output5 On" Response and select Graph References to trace what can trigger this response

This shows that Tamper alarm and Zone Trouble Alarm triggers the Output 5 On response

I suspect there is a zone trouble when The zone 8 is activated and this cause the light to turn On

Remove The alarm Response for Tamper alarm and Zone Trouble and try again

Thanks Chiu.

Found that the response Output5On is actually configured by non-detector alarm zonetrouble that linked to alarm type response.

Case closed. ;)

Thank so much for quick response!

Why is the zone causing zone trouble?
Did you set the zone shunt for Double end of line (ie away from the Terminal block) but did not use the end of line resistors? You should fix this otherwise the zone will not trigger the correct zone response

Other general advice
  • You have "Announce Zone" enabled for the zones. You do not need to have Zone  Response to Announce zone again. Off Response Announce zone is needed if you want the zone restore to be announced also
  • You should not change the PIR Away Zone type if it is Disabled in All modes. Just use Switch NC  zone type which is disabled in all modes ie does not trigger any alarm. Try to avoid changng the default zone types if another standard zone type is available. The name "PIR Away" for the zone type gives the wrong information about the zone type as one wuld think it causes alarm in Away Mode

thanks again Chiu.

It is cable problem by mouse :) that cause the zone trouble.

I changed those setting just to narrow down why response output5on is triggered.
