Hi,
I have a comfort system that I installed approx 8-10 years ago, which has been functioning really well.
Recently, through the keypad you here a dial tone for approx 5 seconds (sometimes longer) and then it stops. This is becoming more frequent now. It sounds like it's going to dial out, but doesn't and I don't hear keytones. It's just done it 3 or 4 times in the last 10 mins or so, very annoying.
If I disconnect phone line, you can still hear it trying. I have done a phone line test from the system F3,3 and that works fine.
I haven't updated firmware since original install.
The house rabbit is not happy about it either as keypad above his bed and freaking him out at night!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Mike

Do you have another keypad in the house, and does it also happen on it?It does not appear to be a dialing issue if it does it without the phone line
I cannot imagine what would produce a dial tone to play for no rEason
Could it be a zone announcemEnt or reminder message?

Thanks for your quick response.
Yes there is another keypad in the house. I'm pretty sure it does it on that one too but would need to re-check tonight. I'll also double check the attempted dialling with no phone line as I only noticed that this morning.
Could it be a zone announcement or reminder message?
I'm not sure, I haven't been into the settings for years! I'm not sure what the reminder message is? And I've never had zone announcements on (only notice that when the alarm is setting). It does it at night too. Maybe Rabbit moving about, although he doesn't set it off normally. I'll double check local cables too for pointy teeth damage!
Thanks

If the other keypad does not have the problem, try swapping the IDs around and see if the problem also changes to the other keypad or remains with the same one
