Hi Everyone.

I need to set up comfort server manager to enable me to use emails, however my UCM/ETH03 is not visible and does not get discovered when I refresh. I've tried DCHP on and off but it seems like the submit button doesn't function. (nothing happens when submit is pressed)

I can already communicate with the ETH03 for the other comfigurator functions, I can monitor zone status, change the zone logic, program functions for UCM/CBUS etc. The only problem I have is that i can't set up emails or upgrade the ETH03 firmware because the comfort server manager won't discover my UCM/ETH03.

I've updated the UCM firmware to 7.061 and I'm using Comfigurator 3.9.9.0 It may be worth mentioning that I'm using a MAC and running comfigurator via parallels.

I connect to the UCM/ETH03 over my LAN using 198.162.1.51:1001. The 192.168.1.51 was assigned by my router.

I'm probably being stupid and I'm sure the answer is already on the forum but I'm struggling to find the solution.

Thanks for your help.

Kev

It may be that the router is blocking the discovery message

Try connecting directly to the PC LAN port

NOTE THAT COMFORT SERVER MANAGER CAN ONLY WORK ON  THE SAME NETWORK AS THE UCM/ETH03, NOT FROM INTERNET

Thanks

That's a bit of a problem, I don't have a LAN port on my laptop. Do you have any other suggestions or should I try and borrow a laptop from somewhere?

Kev

I have not come across a laptop without a LAN port before

Can you try another laptop or desktop?

It worked fine over the LAN using my other desktop. No idea why it didn't work from the laptop but all sorted now. Thanks
