I have a Comfort II system. At 1am this morning whilst in bed I heard the keypad announce "security off" despite the fact that know one had disarmed the system, this was very surprising and I have ever had this happen before. This morning I checked the log and it told me that a "system reset" had been performed, i had nothing to do with this, the system did it itself. Why did this happen. If the system had been armed, would this still have happened and if so, would the system have become disarmed? Thanks for your help. |

Was there any interruption in power? (Cooker clock flashing / reading 12:00etc). Even if there was, and the backup battery is in good standing, the system shoudn't of reset. As for Comfort disarming after a System Reset if previous state was armed - this shouldn't happen as Comfort remembers it's last mode. I am sure Cytech will be along to provide further assistance... System Reset means that Comfort was reset. There are various possible causes. There may be an error in one of the Responses which calls itself. This is an endless loop that forces a reset. It could be due to encountering a drop in voltage, or an internal error. Resetting the system will not disarm the system, as vangelis says. It will arm back to the same mode If it has happened only once, I would not worry about it. If it happens regularly then it may be an error in the Responses mentioned above |

Ok thanks for the feedback. Whilst it's possible the voltage could drop, the backup battery was only replaced last year. As this has only happened once, Ill monitor the system and see if it occurs again. Many thanks. |
