Hi probably bit a noob question(s) but I've got an old Comfort 1 Pro and recently added a UCM/USB to it. Using Win7 on parallels on a 2014 MacBook Pro with Yosemite. Good news is I managed to get Comfigurator 3.9 downloaded and connected.

Selective Read and Selective Write throw an exception. I can of a full read and a full write and it seems to process OK. However, not all the fields are updated - for example Names for PhoneNumber1 & 2 didn't write but updated battery check to 48hrs from 24hrs wrote OK. Tried all options to write the user signIns but it doesn't seem to work. I'm trying to change or read the Engineer code and can't change it plus it is encoded so I can't read it.

It would also appear that the firmware uses FileSystem 17 and Comfigurator3.9 is using FileSystem 18.

Any suggestions on what I need to change upgrade (software wise) to be able to edit? ..... upgrading all the hardware is not a runner right now.

cheers

If your comfort 1 is using File System 17, it means it is a Comfort 1 Entry
You should select template Comfort 1 Entry from the File New Menu

If you write Fiile system 18 to Comfort 1 Enty, the Comfort will not start and both red and green leds remain on

Do a scan for modules and Transfer System Information and see what the Comfort and UCM firmware is found

By the way you do not need to upgrade all the hardware, just the Comfort PCB
This is not as costly as you may think
The Module Compatibility topic http://www.comfortforums.com/forum16/1470.html shows which comfort 1 modules are compatible with Comfort 2

IMHO you should also replace the USB daughter card on the UCM to an Eth3 module as greatly opens up your choices then of controlling your system via mobile apps as well or from your PC.
If getting Ethernet to your Comfort location is not easy then consider Powerline adapters to run over your mains wiring.  I did this myself recently to put ethernet to my garage for an HD IP Cam feed and it was really cheap (£35) for the 2 adapters needed so shouldn't break the bank.

Good suggestion
Note that you need Comfort 2 upgrade before you can make use the the ETH03 for all the wonerful new functions
