Hello, I have recently moved to a house that has a Comfort system installed. The previous owner left all the user manuals, but I'm struggling to get to grips with the configurations, and have not been able to download the Comfigurator yet. I would like to stop the telephones ringing everytime the front doorbell is pressed. Can someone please help me disable this feature from the keypad. Thank you. |

You can download Comfigurator from http://www.cytech.biz/comfigurator.html You will need a UCM in order to use Comfigurator to program Comfort Instructions to use Comfigurator can be found at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum92/4073.html You can use the keypad to disable the ringer function but you have to be careful not to program it wrongly especially as you do not have the original program. What is the comfort model that you have? You can look in the Comfort enclosure and see the label on the large IC It should be marked ULT or OPT x.xxx |

Hello, thank you for responding. I've tried to check the Comfort Panel, but unfortunately there is a panel directly underneath it, and is obscuring the details. The previous owners did tell us that is is a Comfort Pro and not a Comfort II system. Can we download any Comfigurator software, or does it have to be a particular version? They did send us the latest version of the configuration file and the below is the file information from the header. We could not find this version on the website, so can we use the latest version and is it backwards compatible? They did leave us a UCM adaptor to be able to connect directly to the Comfort box. <FileInfo CreatedBy="Comfigurator" Version="3.1.9.0" DateTime="2014-12-01T16:14:01.9248047+00:00" /> Attached is a picture of the kepads we have installed, and the Program Worksheet / Action Codes booklet is for FS18 /v4.1.4.1 We also just discovered that they have also left the Answer Machine functionality enabled on the Comfort box (despite telling they had switched it off) so we are keen to stop Comfort answering the telephone as it still has their names associated with it. Thank you for any help you can provide. If I send you the CCLX file, would you be able to help me configure the file the details and send back the amendments I would need to make, or is the Comfigurator application easy to use, once we have downloaded and installed it. Kind regards, Becky Attachment: Keypad.PNG (Downloaded 21 times) |

Your system is Comfort 1 Pro Are you able to use Comfigurator to log in to the system? Do Transfer > System Information and see if the system information is seen If so you can send us the cclx file to support@cytech.biz. We can make the changes and send it back to you To delete the user codes and messages and reset the user code back to default 1234, please see this topic http://www.comfortforums.com/view_topic.php?id=2357&forum_id=16 This will stop the system from answering with the greeting message To record your own greeting message please download the Comfort 1 user manual from http://www.cytech.biz/comfort_1_manuals.html?category_id=106 |

Hello, Thanks again for all your help. We have not yet downloaded the Comfigurator software, as was unsure what version to select. Is the latest version compatible with the Comfort 1 PRO configuration and the version of the file they have left us? I will try and connect in the coming days, and send the latest config file to you, but if you can confirm what version of the Comfigurator I should download I would be grateful This is the information from the file header of the cclx file we have:FileInfo CreatedBy="Comfigurator" Version="3.1.9.0" DateTime="2014-12-01T16:14:01.9248047+00:00" /> Thank you, Becky |

Comfiguirator 3 should be compatible with Comfort 1 Pro If you have a cclx file it means the system has been programmed using Comfigurator 3 and you can continue to do so If your file is .ccl it means it can been programmed in Comfigurator 2 and it may be better to use the same software which you can download from http://www.cytech.biz/comfigurator_v2.html?category_id=98 |
