I had two cases where when opening the garage door, the control panel did a soft reset. The first occurrence the alarm was in day mode (which was a concern as the panel takes a while announcing zones before re-arming).
I looked at the logs and found the following
 10/25 12:10 DSP/Voice Fail 1
 10/25 12:10 DSP/Voice Restore 97
 10/25 12:10 Reset 97

The same issue was in my older logs
 12/03 11:31 DSP/Voice Fail 32
 12/03 11:31 DSP/Voice Restore 97
 12/03 11:31 Reset 97

I am using Comfigurator 3.9.2 with Ultra II version 7.061, two slaves (version 6.068)

DSP Voice Reset occurs when the voltage to the DSP falls to a low level and the voice is disabled to prevent corruption and lost voice. Comfort automatically resets itself to recover the voice, hence "Voice Reset"

The garage door operation may have caused the voltage on the system to drop momentarily. Perhaps due to a noise spike or could it be a problem with the backup battery?

No, the garage door has it's own 24 volt battery.

The main panel is some distance away from the Garage, and they are not even connected to the same power source phase.  I had a look at other logs I saved prior to noticing the two occurrences I stated, and there is an additional DSP Voice reset that did not occur when the garage door was open.

Perhaps some instability of the AC power supply or surge getting into the system from outside
The DSP reset /restore is a protective mesaure which may prevent the loss of voice
