Hi Chiu.
Is there a way of me setting the Baud Rate to 57600 on a UCM Universal?

Thanks in advance!
Mike.

Currently the baud rates available are 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 76800
Other baud rates may be possible if the firmware is changed
Which devices requires 57600 which is not a common baud rate?

Actually these are the most commonly supported ones. 76800 is an odd one.

"Bit rates commonly supported include 75, 110, 300, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600 and 115200 bit/s."

Isn't all that largely irrelevant though;  I thought the ETh3 to base board serial conversion was locked to 9600 so there is no advantage of upping the ETh3 side speed?

The baud rates are applicable to Rs232 and RS485 submodule on UCM/Universal

For ETH03, the baud rates in the Universal UCM still apply, but when converted to TCP/IP the speed becomes irrelevent

ETH03 serial speed is not limited to 9600 baud, but the Comfort Bus is fixed at 9600 baud

I'm trying to control my sky boxes
I already have software which works so i don't really want to alter the Baud rate on the control unit.

But it would be really useful to have comfort to do it especially with Julian's ComfortClient

Thanks

Why not just alter the baud rate on the box? You're not going to be connecting to it from Comfort and your software at the same time. If you ever need to switch then just set the baud rate again.

because it is a real pain.
you have to connect a Pc
putty or whatever to the control box
send the string 'ProGraMmoDEB8'
reboot the control box disconnect PC
reconnect to comfort
Have a play and then do the reverse.
If it was possible to change it in firmware it would be great!

It may be possible to change it in firmware but that will not be for some time as we are working on other projects and will not be able to look into this for some time
Changing the baud rate om the skybox seems the more practical option

OK
But it would be really good to add 57600 perhaps instead of 2400?
