Bypassed zones do not activate their alarm types, until they are either unbypassed or the system is disarmed to Security Off.

Omit is similar to Bypass and, except that while Bypassed inputs are unbypassed whenever the system is disarmed to Security Off, Omitted Inputs remain ignored until the input is Unbypassed

Bypassed zones status are shown as OFF or Inactive in Keypad Security Check or in Comfigurator

To add to the above explanation of the difference between Bypass and Omit, there is another related operation - Force-arming

This refers to the automatic bypassing of open zones when a system is being armed.

For example when you are arming the security system (to Away, Night, Day or Vacation) using the keypad or telephone, and open zones are announced, you can press the # key to force-arm the system. This automatically bypasses the announced zoones and allows the system to be armed,

Note that if a force armed zone is closed after the system is armed, it automatically becomes active, and opening that zone will cause an alarm.

This is useful when arming to Night Mode and a window is open somewhere in the house. Instead of aborting the arming operation (by signing in) and walking to close the offending window, you can just press # and arm the system. Then you can go to close the window. Opening the window agaion will cause an alarm
Force armed zones are the sae as Bypassed, ie their status is Closed or Inactive in Comfigurator or Keypad Security Check

However the use of the feature may not be allowed under some regulations so please take note of the local rules before allowing this
Force-arming can be disabled in Modules and Settings > Allow Force arm checkbox
