The new firmware KP06 v 6.008 has been released This fixes some bugs which have been found
  1. Fixed zone name corruption (eg display "kitchen Kitchen Kitchen.."caused by the following conditions; at least 1 zone name with 16 characters; a zone with name < 16 characters triggered just before the 16 character zone
  2. Up to 15 IDs allowed in the setup menu (but requires Comfort firmware changes)
  3. LED status updated upon reset. Before LEDs were off when KP06 is reset
  4. Supports serial number function. ULT 7.052 firmware is required for this (not released yet)

Coincidence or what but why has this trashed my UCM # 1
Since upgrade the scan returned this (see attached).
If I delete the UCM and rescan it does not find ID = 1 (Comfigurator 3.8.5).
Is it a coincidence that my KP01 and UCM are both ID 1?
All I did was check for firmware update, go with the update and it scan afterwards. Ahhhhh!

Here's another example where my config breaks after upgrade.  Going back to 6.007 and it works OK again.

Ingo suggested that Comfigurator 3,.8.6 might fix as there was an issue with the first scan. So I upgraded from 3.8.5 to this version.
The first time I scanned after reset it still showed as type HDL.  I manually changed the type to "General" though and did a couple of system resets and now the scans seem to work.
Weird!

The problem of UCM#1 being detected as HDL is due to Comfort firmware bug. It is described here http://www.comfortforums.com/forum79/3741.html

The serial number will not appear when you upgrade to 6.008 as the serial number has not been writtten to KP06 yet
New KP06s from the factory will have the serial number
However Comfort firmware 7.052 (not released yet) is required to suport the serial number in KP06

OK understood.  I haven't done a sync though on the keypad; I just updated the firmware so presume the *1 is done automatically during the process?

It may do a sync if it finds that the vocabulary requires it
Anyway once the new Comfort firmware is available it will not detect HDLanymore

I forgot to mention LT 7.052 (not released) is required to support the KP06 serial number display for scanning
