In another post (3712) it was stated: DS Explorer shows the firmware to be Uni3.13 which is firmware for Universal UCM, not the normal UCM. You would need to change the ETH02 firmware to general UCM in order to work with UCM for Comfigurator etc Can you clarify firmware types and relationship with UCM06? e.g. I know the Universal can become a Smarthouse UCM but the above implies more flexibility and may contradict statements elsewhere? The ETH02 or eth03 module has its own firmware, which is not the same as the UCM firmware the UCM firmware is on the baseboard and is to do with the messages between Comfort and the external device The ETH firmware is on the Tibbo or the new ETH03 processor, and handles the IP addresses and other ethernet related functions like server or client so for Universal UCM, it needs the Base UCM to be universal fimrware and the ETH03 to be universal as well as the ETH would be a client communicating with the server on the ethernet For UCM05, it needs a "General" ETH firmware this acts as a server to comunicate with a client eg Comfigurator or Comfort client I hope this explains it |

Yes you can. ETH03 is a replacement for ETH02 so it can be used in place of ETH02 in all places |
