Hi I have an ipad and iphone. The iphone app works perfect. however I can not get the ipad app to work.I have both configured for LAN access. I have loaded the cclx file on both machines (ipad version for ipad).I am able to log into the system from my ipad, and can see the zones. But that is it. When I try to set the alarm I recieve the error message "invalid login - please retry" but I am never given the option to enter a password.

Please help.

Are you using the latest iPad version from the Appstore?

There is an auto login option

The autologin feature is disabled when the connection is remote ie Internet for security reasons
The saved login code can be deleted in the Configuration page by pressing “Clear Password”

I am on version 1.2. I used to see the auto login button, but that is not longer visible.

When you say to try to set the alarm, does this mean arm the system to e.g. day mode?

I've just tried on my iPad here that arming the system does not require a code to be entered.
Only when you want to disarm the system is the entering of the user code required.

Your attachment shows the login page.
I thought you are able to login and see the zones?

A bit confused here on what exactly is the issue??

When I try to arm the system I receive that error message.
I have attached a picture of the logon as it was mentioned that there was a option for auto logon. That option is not available for me.
I have attached another picture which shows the home page. From here I can not arm the system.

Your cclx file shows that your Comfort firmware is 5.199 and UCM is 5.212
The minimum firmware for both Comfort and UCM is version 7

You can use your UCM version  > 5.178 5 to upgrade Comfort to the latest version by using the UCM firmware programming cable as described in the forum at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1216.html

However you need another UCM with the programming cable to upgrade your UCM firmware 5.212. You can ask the help of someone who has another UCM or ask your Comfort distributor for help. Alternately you can send your UCM to Cytech in Singapore to upgrade the UCM firmware

The old firmware explains why you are unable to arm your system. The missing Auto-log in is probably due to iOS7 which has hidden the button. The auto login was seen in iOS6

BUt it is working on the Iphone. Surely if the problem was with the firmware it would affect both the Iphone and Ipad. That is not the case. Only the ipad is affected.

The iphone and ipad are different apps so you cannot assume that both will work when the firmware is not updated

Many features of the iphone app will not work correctly eg the correct updating of status of zones and home control menu

It has been a while since I upgraded the system last time. I have looked at my board and the instruction and I am a bit confused. Because the operating system is 5.xx I can not upgrade via wifi so I have to do it via USB. As you can see from the picture I have 2 UCM boards (UCM 5.212 and 5.63). I also have another UCM 5.212 which is not connnected. So what do I need to connect to upgrade the boards.

If you have 2 UCMs 5.212 you can use one to upgrade the other using the firmware programming cable, so both can be upgraded to the latest version 7
The old UCM01 5.63 cannot be used for any of these procedures

Follow the instructions here with pictures
http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1782.html

After upgrading the UCMs, use one ucm to upgrade the Comfort to version 7 also using the programming cable as shown in http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1216.html

When both UCM and Comfort have been upgraded to version 7, you can upgrade the UCM or Comfort using Comfigurator alone without needed tne firmware programming cable as shown in http://www.comfortforums.com/forum92/3400.html

Hi can you confirm that this set up is ok.
The UCM to be upgraded has the single 6 wire attachment. The other UCM has a network connection and that is connected to the old UCM 5.63. The UCM 5.63 will be connected to the PC. See attached picure.

You should be upgrading the UCM 5.212 on the right using the UCM/ETH
The PP2 header on the UCM being upgraded should be shunted. I cannot see if you have done that

Your computer shoould be connected to the UCM /ETH02 doing the upgrading, not to the UCM01 5.63. the old UCM should not be used for this.

Your UCM being upgraded does not have a USB or Ethernet interface. After you upgrade it you can shift the ETH01 module to this UCM and use that to upgrade the other UCM.

Then you can upgrade the Comfort using the programming cable

Do not use the UCM01 in any way in this procedure
