When the night mode button is activities, after a few second the keypad announces "night Mode" and then the siren sounds for about 1 second. This is extremely annoying and when it occurs in the middle of the night wakes everyone up. This never used to happen. How can I prevent the siren from sounding. |

The Bell output was not set. However, I still set it, uploaded the settings, then deselected it, and uploaded the setting. It had not effect the Siren still sounded. Attachment: settings1.pdf (Downloaded 4 times) |

It may be something else in the settings Please send your ccxl file to support@cytech.biz for testing |

We have tested your file When armed to night mode, the bell does not sound (ie connected to SRN+ and SRN-) However the siren sounds can be heard on the keypads, so could this be what you are hearing? You say that it used to work, but what changes have you made that may have affected it. Did you change any connections? |

I believe it may be a connection issue. There is nothing in the cclx file that could cause the siren to sound in Night mode For example are you sure that the bellbox iis connected to SRN+ and SRN-. Could it be connected to Strobe by mistake, as the strobe will turn on for 3 seconds when armed to night mode? |

I checked the settings and everything is set correctly. However, I turned the whole system off and then turned it back on again and everything seemed to work fine. However, I do like the idea of the siren sounding when armed in away mode. I thought that this would be achieved by setting the Bell Output. However, this is not the case as this is already set. Can you please tell me how to set the Siren to sound when the system is armed in away mode. thanks |

Hi the configuration for away armed is already set like this. The only thing that happens when the system is armed is the announcement" away mode" |

The reason for the 2 siren beeps not being heard is that some sirens need a longer application of voltage Increase the pulse duration from 100 ms to 200 to 500 ms of Sound Types > Armed2Beeps |

Correction from the last post, after testing the cclx file Both the Siren Type and Sound Type durations need to be increased The Siren Type sets the total duration for the siren (default 1 second) The sound type determines the frequency and duration for each of 2 tones (default 100 ms of 500 hz and 400 msof silence). This combination gives 2 pulses of 100ms sound + 400ms silence = total 1 second. In most sirens a 100 ms burst can be heard. The default is short so as not to make too much noise at night. In your case, the siren is probably slow to respond event to a 1 second pulse, so you either do not hear it or hear it intermittently You can increase the Siren Duration to 2 seconds and the sound type "tone 1" duration also to 2 seconds. This should produce a single 2 second sound on the siren. As an example if you keep the Sound type tone 1 duration at 2 seconds but increase the siren type duration to 4 seconds, you would hear 2 bursts of 2 seconds |
