I went to a new install yesterday because Comfort had 'locked up' - no response from keypads etc.

I checked the voltage (OK) and dorstation shorts!!!!! but these appeared to be OK - I did a manual reset (Yes the button is now almost inaccessoble under the LEM!!!!) the unit came back to life a few seconds later i had UCM RIO coms error on the keypad - I removed (Physical and from program) RIO and it came back to life again - i did all the tests i could think of to try and upset it - after1 or so i added RIO back in and once again did a load of tests with keypads and Rios and etc etc it appeared after 1hr or so to still be stable - I left it overnigh and phoned in this a.m and appears to be OK.

I enclose an event log which shows the RIO and also other coms ailures later - I can supply the ccl file (seperately if required).

Any ideas?

Was the firmware pre 5.054 by any chance?

Yes the reset is difficult to access if you have a UCM. We can provide a longer LEM cable so the LEM can be mounted on the bottom if needed, but you can do a software reset in Eng Menu 7,4,2

If you have pre 5.054 firmware please get a free upgrade. The olderversions have a bug which may be responsible for that problem
