After installing and configuring my new KT03, which was working very nicely, I decided the upgrade the firmware. During the firmware upgrade it kept saying it was failing. It says in the instructions to keep trying until the firmware upgrade is complete, but it just kept saying failed after 15 attempts. Now I cannot get the KT03 to turn on or respond at all. Any idea how I resolve this issue? |

How did you do the upgrade, via the KT03s USB or via the UCM? What was the error message? What was the old firmware that was being upgraded? Can you use the UCM wth programming cable to do the upgrade? See instructions in http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1782.html Disconnect the KT03 from the 6 way terminal block after connection to the programing cable, then do the upgrade |

I did the upgrade via the USB cable connected directly to the KTO3. The error message was "firmware upgrade encountered errors" I think it was 2.008 being upgraded to whatever the most recent one is. I have an ETH02 - can that be used to do the upgrade? Problem is - there is no response whatsoever from the KT03 - there's no power lights on - the screen is blank - no response whatsoever! So not sure how I fix it if there's no response from it whatsoever! |

The older firmware like version 2 had problems with firmware upgrading in handling errors. This should not be a new KT03 Once you upgrade to version 7, this should no longer be a problem You can use UCm/ETH to do the firmware upgrade using the UCM firmware upgrading cable connected to KT03 The UCM firmware upgrade does not depend on the KT03 working. However upgrade the UCM firmware to the latest version before you attempt the KT03 firmware upgrade by cable |

You should have no problem upgrading again with the new firmware next time without the programming cable Note that upgrading via KT03 USB (a few minutes) will be much faster than upgrading via UCM which will take 15 minutes Upgrading via programming cable is the backup method if the above methods fail |
