I have just installed a II ultra with CBus addon. All sorts of things are controlled by CBus. As CBus doesn't have flags which can be set by Comfort how does it know the state of Comfort (away mode vacation mode etc)? Does it automatically pole comfort to check state each cycle, or does the state have to be pushed to CBus rather than allowing it to pull? TIA |

The Cbus Security Application handles the information from Comfort to Cbus relating to the alarm states, alarm mode, zones etc and also allows keypad keys in Cbus to be sent to Comfort See this topic with example of how C-Touch can display zones, alarm states etc There is no programming necessary to support Security application in the UCM/CBus |

Thanks for that information, but could you be more specific? I am wishing to change some settings in CBus which depend upon whether Comfort is in Away, Vacation, Perimeter or Disarmed modes. How would I pick up this information from within CBus? |

The security application describes the Security Groups that are used for various security parameters which are obtained from the Security system The UCM/Cbus Manual which can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/ucmcbus_manual.html?category_id=107 Page 32 shows the security messages from Comfort to Cbus Group 80 (hex) shows the armed/disarmed status but not if it is away, Night, Day when armed To give status for the security mode (away, Day, night, vacation) you can use Evemts > Misc Events for Away Mode, Night Mode, Day Mode and use these Responses to send a command to a Cbus group address eg Security Mode Response - send Cbus group address level to 0 Away Mode Response - send Cbus group address level to 1 Night mode Response - send Cbus group address level to 2 Dayt mode Response - send Cbus group address level to 3 |
