For UCM/ETH02, the IP address and port number must be assigned using  DS Manager

in Comfigurator, go to Options > Settings

Select UCM Connection > UCM Interface
Select Network (Local)

There is a link to DSManager as seen in the screenshot above. This only appears if Network (Local) or Network (Internet) is selected
Click on DS Manager

DS Manager will discover any UCM/Ethernet modules and show their pre-configured IP Address.

UCM/ETH02 normally is preconfigured with IP address in the range 10.0.51 to 10.0.0.62 but this IP address can be discovered regardless of the IP address of the home network eg 192.168.1.x

If the barrel icon is in blue as shown above, it means that the IP address is on the same network
If the barrel icon is Gray it means that the IP address is on another network (according to the network mask)
If no IP address is visible, it means the the module is not connected physically to the same network

If the IP Address can be seen, click on settings on the right, or double click the IP address

Change the IP Address and Port to an IP Address and Port which is available on the network.

The settings tab should show the information below. There should be no need to change any of the settings below.

If the IP address and port are set correctly, the DS Manager home screen as in the 1st screenshot above should show the barrel icon  in blue not gray meaning that the IP address is on the same network

Back in UCM Connection settings, set the IP address and port to the same as in DS Manager

The correct matching settings in UCM Connection and DS Manager will allow Comfigurator to connect to Comfort

Network (Local) and Network (Internet) are to allow 2 IP addresses and ports to be entered and saved in the cclx file.
If you are in the house select the Network (Local) connection
If you are away from the premises use Network (Internet) connection

For Internet connection, the router must be set up for port forwarding to the ocal IP address and port. Please refer to your router setup instructions
