Can I use an old type UCM01 firmware 5.92 as an additional UCM on comfort 2. I am wanting to use this to read serial data from another system if this won't make my system unstable by using this old UCM? Thanks |

It should not cause instability but ucm01 is not able to read data from another system It may be able to write data to another system using send text to rs232 |

Thanks for the response - I am trying to interface with Home Vision and can't get the HVXL software plugin to work two way so thought I would try a direct serial port connection instead. If I buy a new universal UCM, can I reuse the RS232F from my old type UCM01? Should I be able to connect Comfort to one of Homevision's serial ports for two way communication? - surely someone else must have acheived this by now!? Yes you are correct - No longer sold I think I bought the last one including all the add on boards. I think Comfort and HV work very well together and have used HV for past projects. I expect I should be able to get these two systems to interface both ways with a direct serial UCM and one of the HV serial add on boards... |
