The draft of the guide to adjusting Tuning Parameters is now available on our website at http://www.cytech.biz/Downloads/Files/90/Tuning%20Guide.pdf

This shows how the parameters can be adjusted to achieve optimum performance for the two way intercom system  for Phone to Keypad/Door Station, Keypad to Door station, and also shows what to do if the DTMF signal cannot be detected from the phone

Is there a current tuning guide for door phones and keypads? This link no longer works.

I have some issues when talking to someone who is using the door phone (DP03X-WI & DM02). If I pick up a house phone they other person can hear me ok. If I answer via the keypad (KP04) the volume is so low they cannot hear me.

...also when a user presses the door bell button outside, the "Ding Dong" almost knocks them off their feet it is so loud. Is there a way to lower this?

Thanks

Bryan.

The tuning guide can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/tuning_parameters_guide.html
The link has been fixed

Make sure you are using the default tuning parameters. If you started your file using an older version of Comfigurator, you may be using an older set of tuning parameters which are not opmitised

Go to File > Import > Configuration Items and select the def34.cct file, then choose Tuning parameters to import

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but where can I find "def34.cct" to extract the parameters?

The version of Comfigurator I started with was the one prior to the latest release (3.1.9?).

In Comfigurator software the "def34.cct" can be found by opening a New File and in the Select Template dialog box click on "Browse for template file" button and then point to the 'Config' folder under the 'Comfigurator 3' folder.

It is always recommended to use the latest version of Comfigurator software as it would have fixed the bugs found in the previous versions.

def34.cct is also the Default Template file for Comfort II Ultra, ie if you do FIle > New and select Comfort II Ultra, you are actually opening the def34.cct file template

when you say use the latest version as it fixes bugs, are you saying start with a new template file? or can I continue with the same cclx file?

You can continue with the same cclx file as long as you import the tuningg parameters. The bugs are fixed with Comfigurator 3.2.4 but the tuning parameter values are not automatically changed in the old file
