Hi I am trying to operate the lights on a flight of stairs when the lights at either end are both on but for some reason the Response does not seem to work. I have this triggered by Counter Responses on the lights L-T1 and L-Hd1 If Counter L-Hd1HallCentre > 0 Then If Counter L-T1a_DSHallA > 0 Then Cbus RampInst 2 35 200 ! Turn on Stairs lights to 80% since hall lights are on and lower hall lights are on Else Cbus RampInst 2 35 0 ! Turn off stairs light as lower hall is off End If Else Cbus RampInst 2 35 0 ! Turn off stairs light as hall lights are off End If Generally the lights on the stairs are off except after a Security Off when they come on. Changing the states of L-T1 and L-Hd1 makes no difference. Any ideas why this doesn't work, or suggestions of a better way? Last edited on Saturday Dec 29th, 2012 08:00 am by pgc_uk |

Possible reasons could be does the Counter get changed thus activating the Counter Response? Try executing the response directly, this will check that the Response is correct Next change the counter directly using the C!NNvv command where NN is the counter number and vv is the value, both in hex eg C!32FF means Counter 50 change to 255 (ON) In IO Monitor the counter change is shown as CTnnvv This should be seen if the counter is changed by Cbus as well |

Thanks. I did just try running the Response from Comfigurator and it does not work, but I am now wondering whether there is possibly a CBUS Group problem instead. I'll check it out and respond. Thanks |

I've just tried the Direct command version as well, and can see all of the CTxxvv commands on the I/O monitor OK - even when turning the CBUS lightswitches. I can also see the Response firing and changing the value of the Counter for the Stairs. So it looks like the CBUS side is not working correctly: time to check that the Group addresses are set up properly - I'll just have to get Toolkit set up on this machine. Thanks Pgc |
