Hi Guys

Iam trying to program something through comfigurator regarding x10, maybe it cant be done, hence iam hoping someone can help.

i want a set of lights linked to a module to turn on when a different module is activated...

I want, when i turn on, L7 (master bed) - linked into a LW12 to activate L6 (bedlights) - linked into a AM12U to also turn on, and L7 off also makes L6 off.

the only way i have of programming my x10 is via comfort and ive tried the basic

X10 L7 ON
Do L6 ON

but no luck, so iam thinking that maybe i need comfor to "check" the status of L7, but iam not sure i can do this, i know it can be done for a Zone, but not for x10?

in short when i turn on L7 i want L6 to turn on, and L7 off - L6 off.

can anyone point me in the right direction?

Many thanks
Kev

Kevin

In Comfigurator, in the left navigator, goto Events then X10 Receive Codes.

In L7, set the On Response to trigger the L6 On response
repeat for the Off response.

This tells Comfort to trigger the L6 On or Off response when it detects L7 either on or off.

Hi Thanks for the swift reply.

I guess i never tried that menu as it always had Null Resp in the boxes.

Ive tried out, as suggested, and it didnt work, i tried it on a few different codes and sockets just to ensure, and i did transfer comfort to PC each time i altered the code.

Does this also need to be used in conjuntion with another response?

iam starting to think that my comfort system isnt getting any information backward from my LW12 units.

i can get the whole thing to work if i write a action to happen when say a zone is activated such as w room sensor, but not if i am only wanting to use the wall switch to activate the relevent light.

if it is of any use i can send your the comfig file?

I assume that the X10 control from Comfort works, ie you can turn on L6 and L7 from a Comfort Response.

Most X10 devices do not send X10 signals when you press the local switch at the device so that X10 Received Response would not work

if you are using another X10 transmitter to control L7 then that should trigger the X10 Received Response

Check that the X10 Transceiver at Comfort blinks the red led when the L7 command is sent, this means that the signal is received
