Sorry to reply to my own post but, I bit the bullet and did a Vocab Upgrade.
Everything now seems to be working and Comfort, SWMBO and I are happy again
Cheers

Hi Lee
I'm afraid I'm not an expert on Comfort and was doing the upgrade using the programming cable.
However, when you say "I get a long tone after pressing both F & 0 together", I think (and could be wrong ) that you press F then 0 rather than F and 0.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
Neil

Hi Neil,
Thanks for coming back to me.
Tried that and get the long tone and the unit says something like "please sign in" even though Comfigurator is logged in.

Hi Lee
Sorry mate but you may as well have been typing Italian there (Mi dispiace TheMax74 - Sto scherzando )
The clipboard dump means nothing to me at all. I think you would be best directing this to one of the tech support guys.
Hope you get it sorted - It's probably something really simple that you'll be embarrassed about when you realise what you're not doing - At least, that's normally how I feel!
Cheers
Neil

Dont try the upgrade just yet
Follow the steps below- Just press and release the F key followed by the 0 key
- Do you hear any long beep? or does the voice say "please sign in"? or is there silence?
- If there is silence, this is correct. Now try the firmware upgrade again
- If it says "Please sign in", it is asking for your user code because of the way the 0 function key is programmed. enter your user code and # key. There should now be silence. Now try the firmware upgrade

Hi Ident,
If I press and release the f button then press 0 I hear nothing.
Is that right? should I try the firmware again?
Best Regards
Lee

ok done that and nothing,
so just to confirm I pressed f and released followed by 0, and then clicked ok in comfigurator. mesage jumps back saying press f0.
repeated a few times, same result.
Does the log help?
off to work now, so will try any other suggestions later
Thanks

You have deleted the Response Engineer Code which should be assigned to the F0 key in Control > Keypad
Hence F0 is not having any effect
The screenshot is what it should be like
Can you add the Response as shown
If in doubt open a default Template and copy the Response exactly
