We are looking to specify the logic engine but im finding that the stumbling block is the current iphone / android app. The app focuses on Comfort as a security system the requirement for the logic engine is different an i suggest does not require the log in, should be more focused on the home control screens - as ever easier said than done.....

We could take away the keypad page, but if you suggest that you do not have to log in, then anyone with an iphone as long as they have the IP address can connect and control the house?

These are good points .. and I was thinking about the useability of the iPhone app the other day.
Often, via the phone, I want to change a light setting, or close the garage door. I do find it very irritating that I have to:
1. Log into my iphone. I have a strong/long password .. so that takes a while
2. Start up Comfort app
3. Log into Comfort and enter passcode
4. Navigate through Home Control menu,
5. Finally issue command
Too many steps!
For useability, I think there should be a Home page on the app (bit like the KT03) which can be customised to allow the immediate execution of actions. Make it optional for logging into Comfort (the app should cache the logon passcode) for those of us that already have strong access control to the phone.

You may have a strong password for access to your iphone
But what about anyone else? If they have access to your wifi password then they could also disarm your security
You may give friends access to wifi at your house or office, but you may not want them to have access to your comfort as well?

I agree you need to be careful with WiFi, but it's my system, and I would like the option to configure it this way!

I understand, but we have to be careful with this, as we may possibly be faced lawsuits one day if there is any breach due to access without codes

This thread started with a discussion about the logic engine..
As i see it there are many applications where the logic engine would not be part of a security system.
So the password access is NOT an issue if we are discussing logic engine.

Agreed, if it is logic engine then login code should not needed, but I expect for remote connection via internet, login would still be needed
