The Smart-House Master Generator (or Controller) is shown here

This is BH8-CTRLX but other models may also be available in different regions. This has one Rs232 interface for connection to external devices. Other models may have Rs485 and Rs232 ports

The UCM/Dupline + RS232 interface is shown. You can also plug in the AUX485 submodule in place of the Rs232 interface to connect to Rs485 interface on the Dupline.

Unfortunately the BH8-CTRLX controller has the Rs232 connections on terminal blocks instead of a standard DB9 male or female connector which means you will have to make up a cable to connect from the UCMs DB9 to the terminal blocks. Rs232 interfaces should really be on DB9 connectors

The connections for the Rs232 are
              UCM/Dupline                    BH8-CTRLX
TxD               3                                   12
RxD               2                                   13
GND              5                                   14

The Dupline Controller Rs232 interface should be set to 9600 baud and the Modbus ID should be set to 1 in order to communicate to UCM/Dupline
These details are also described in http://www.cytech.biz/ucmdupline_manual.html

Use Comfigurator to Scan for UCMs

The UCM/Dupline willl be discovered and shown in the list

You will be able to create Responses to send commands to Dupline using the Response Wizard

Select “Add Response” to create a new Response, or “Response Wizard” to edit the
selected Response.
To Add a new Response, enter the Response Description in the pop-up window and
press ENTER. The Name will be automatically generated as shown

A new window opens. Select UCM and SmartHouse/Dupline

A dropdown list will show Input, Momentary Input, and Output

For Input, select a Dupline  Address A1 to A8, B1, to B8,.... until P1 to P1 (128 Addresses)
Select Action On or OFF
This is equivalent to Pressing a switch on Dupline

Momentary switch means the Dupline switch is pressed and released

Select a Dupline Input. The effect on the Dupline is the same as pressing and releasing the switch. It depends on how the Dupline system is programmed.

Finally selecting Outputs and the Output address A1 to P8 and ON or OFF will force the Dupline Output on or off
