Hello,
I disconnected the KP04 from main power to move it to another place. Before it was working fine. But when I reconnected, there were no sound or led on.
I've checked the voltage and there is ~12V at the input of the low drop voltage regulator (U6) but nothing at the output. The capacitor C12 is warm.
So, I guess that the issue come from there... Any advice?
If I want to replace the regulator, can I use something similar to the KA76L05Z? I think that it will take too much time/cost to send it back to you just to replace thoses? What about the warranty if I do it by myself (I'm electonic engineer).
Thanks.

Have you tried to leave it off for a while? Disconnect the KP04 should not cause the regulator to fail
76L05 is a low drop out version of 7805 since you are an electronic engineer
I dont think you should worry about warranty at this point. The factory can always repair it for you if there is any problem

Hello,
I let it off for a while and it changed nothing.
By the way, it was not the capacitor that was hot but it is the regulator. I tried with a new regulator and it still doesn't work. The new regulator is getting hot also.
I measured the resistance between output of the regulator and the 0V => There is about 1,2 Ohms ??? I think theres is an electrical shortut !
What do i have to do? Does I have to return it to Singapour to repair it ?
Thanks.

Can you contact support@cytech.biz and send the serial number?
If it is under warranty we will replace with a new one. If not under warranty it can be repaired
