Just upgraded firmware and downloaded latest beta comfigurator... Noiced that in the UCM Universal ucm module there seems to be a new tab....Commands to device... Should we define commands here now and then call them from response rather than defining all the commands in the response? Actually just tried playing and its much easier to do it in the response still :-) Cheers Stuart Last edited on Friday May 25th, 2012 05:23 pm by schford |

We have not documented the changes to the Universal UCM yet as this is one of the major changes to Comfigurator and the Universal UCM The Commands to Device Tab will be used to send commands to the external device Commands are defined here instead of the Response Wizard This makes it easier to reuse the commands for a new device by saving the template The Response wizard is used to send send a command that has been defined, rather than defining the command itself So if someone has spent the time entering the commands to send to a new device, these commands can be saved as template and reused in a new installation This was not possible in the old system as the commands were in the Response Wizard Why do you find it more difficult to enter commands in the new way? |

By the way, if you are using universal UCM, this version of the software is still being tested so it is advisable not to write to a live system unless you are prepared to test it and have a backup of the old cclx file |
