Hi,

Just wondering what the best method of getting comfort to turn all my velbus devices off would be ? As I understand it, I can program each velbus channel to respond to a velbus button and turn off (i.e one velbus button could be a master off button for the entire house), but how would I implement this functionality within comfort as a response as oppossed to having a physical button to do it.

With my old x10 set up, I just got comfort to send an all off command, so is there a similar way of doing it via velbus, or do I create a single macro which turns off each velbus channel one at a time ?

Thanks,
Eamon

Isnt there a Velbus command to do this that you can send in a Response?

Not an all off command as far as I can see! I can program all my relays to react to a specific push button and turn off, so if I can get comfort to send a command mimicking a push button that would do it!

You can  create a response to turn off all relay modules ...such as  3 relay module address 0,1,2  like in the screenshot

Thanks ident, have done that, was just a bit concerned that with that setup some messages might get lost, but must remember this is not the old x10 system so not an issue :-)

One suggestion from velbus was to get comfort to pretend to be a push button! I could program the relays up then to turn off when it receives this pb command?

Is it possible to get comfort to emulate a pb?

Hi,wexfordman, you can try to use response: send232 command to simulate a pb, but you need read protocol of pb.and write the command, one easy way is using velbus monitor first, press a button and see the command received by velbus ,then copy the command to create a "send232" response...
