Visonic has a range of wireless sensors and receivers called PowerCode which can be used with Comfort. The MCR304 is a 4 channel receiver and MCR308 is an 8 channel wireless receiver which can be hardwired to 4 and 8 zone inputs in Comfort respectively, see http://www.visonic.com/Products/Wireless-Property-Protection/Wireless-receivers They have a wide range of wireless transmitters which can be used with the receivers eg Wireless Detectors http://www.visonic.com/Products/Wireless-Property-Protection/intrusion-detectors Personal Emergency http://www.visonic.com/Products/Wireless-Property-Protection/Personal-emergency-wireless-property-protection Keyfobs for arming/disarming http://www.visonic.com/Products/Wireless-Property-Protection/Control%20Keyfobs/control-keyfobs-wpp Outdoor detectors http://www.visonic.com/Products/Wireless-Property-Protection/Intrusion-detectors-outdoor |

I used these to retrofit some window sensors and the Shed - they work really well. Take note though - you will actually use up more than just the 4 and 8 inputs respectively. Eg you will want one to show the low battery warning, one to show if someone is jamming etc there are also a cpl of other options if I recall. What about 2-way keyfobs? For that I need both inputs and outputs. Does visonic have transmitter with inputs and outputs? |

I dont think there are such things as 2 way keyfobs The keyfob just sends a signal to arm or disarm Comfort will indicate armed or disarmed on the keypads, or iphone etc |

Hey Tan, I think you are little bit confused of keyfob, It sends only one signal. |

I am not sure that I understood wrong. Look at Two-way Keyfob MCT-237. It says "two way" 6-button??? |

This device may only be Compatible with PowerMaxPro, PowerMaxComplete and PowerMaxExpress control panels - as it states (not Comfort). I have an old Visonic receiver and it does not have any mechanism to take and input to act as 'status' to feed this back to the keyfob |

Hi Ident This looks good as i already have some Visonic detectors. Does the Visonic Receiver need the relay board to connect to the zones on comfort (its described as an open collector to dry contact adapter)? The spec says the the receiver outputs are open collector type and, as i don't have any add on cards for comfort for digital inputs, i wasn't too sure. Cheers |

Open collector outputs can be connected directly to Comfort Inputs You do not need any relay |

Hi Daft QuestionBut when using the MCR-308 do you not need a common connection on the comfort channelSo say you connect output 1 on the MCR-308 to Z1 on Comfort how is the circuit made, what connects to the COM terminal on comfortThanks |

You need to connect the COM on the MCR308 to the 0V terminal on Comfort. You can also use the Zone Common between 2 adjacent zones |

I know a friend who tried this out and realised that it sends out only one signal |

As I understand it Visonic is a one way system: sensor to MCR-304. Are there any two way wireless systems that Comfort Alarm users have tried? |

Wwhat do you mean by one way and two way system Do you mean that the sensor should receive commands from Comfort as well as sending its status on or off? |
