The action Change Entry Delay is implemented from Comfort Firmware 5.206 This allows an entry door zone to have a different entry delay from the default Entry Delay programmed in Security > Arming & Disarming "Change Entry Delay 60" means Change entry delay to 60 seconds (in Response Wizard under Security category) Assign this response to a Zone Response for the entry door zone This works only when the system is armed so that opening doors with this action does not change entry time when not armed Last edited on Thursday Apr 23rd, 2015 04:29 pm by slychiu |

I wasn't aware of this feature and it looks useful for some situations such as garage doors. Does the change in entry delay reset to the default when the alarm is next set to away/night mode? Thanks |

Yes this is especially useful for Garage doors which require a longer entry time This action affects only the zone which performs the Response which contains the action. It does not affect entry delay of any other entry door which does is not not assigned to the Response, so the main entry door is not affected |

I have the On Response for an entry Zone (Door) as follows; Response
I had cases where the Entry Time did not change, and initially I thought the logic was not executed, so I added the Announce to get audio confirmation. There have been a few cases where the alarm was in Night Mode and the entry time did not change to 120, but I got the announcement. Any idea why this would be the case? |

The entry alert delay should be working If it was not set to 120 then what entry time was used in the cases that it did not work? Is that the only entry zone in the house? The action wl work for the immediate entry alert caused by the zone only, and other entry zones will revert to the default value |

Also upgrade to the latest 7.017 firmware in case yours is an old version which does not have that feature |

We cannot find any problem with the action in our testing Please send you cclx file to support@cytech.biz for checking |

We suspect that the shortened entry delay time is not due to "Change Entry Delay" time action not working, but due to another non-entry zone detector activated during entry time. This would cause the entry warning pre-alert to a full intruder alarm, default 5 seconds In ULT 7.021 the non-entry path zone that is detected during Entry alert is recorded in the Event log (in older versions it does not appear in event log) So after this happens you can check the event log and see if there ia a zone activated after entry |
