I think I've already see this question answered somewhere in the forum or the manual, but I can't find it again.

When the alarm is triggered it sends multiple SMS messages to the mobile phone configured. How can I configured Comfort to get only one SMS message to each of the configured mobiles?

Thanks,

Nino Torres

The UCM/GSM will only send 1 SMS message for each alarm
The possible reasons for sending multiple  text messages are
  1. The alarm was repeated. If the alarm is triggered again by a zone, then a new message is sent giving the information about the new alarm zone. It is not possible or desirable to prevent this for the sake of security
  2. The UCM/GSM did not receive acknowlegement from the network saying the SMS was sent. This causes a resend. Check in thee event log. The sendong of SMS shhould be recorded as Dial No #(1-8) , SMS Acknoweldge. The SMS acknowledge event means the SMS was acknowledged by the network (NOT by the recepienT0 If it does not   get this, the GSM will resend up to 5 times.

Humm, ok.

I think my case is the first one you mention.

So I think my best shot is to delay multiple detections in the same zone, right?

Maybe it's not of value to have multiple detections with a second or so between them.

Thanks.

You can use the parameter Zone Auto-shunt Count in Configuration > Modules and Settings
The number is the number of times a zone triggered will cause an alarm. For Example if Zone Auto-shunt Count is set to 3, the same zone will cause an alarm 3 times. If trigerred again it will not cause a new alarm and this will not redial to the programmed numbers, until another new zone is triggered or the system is disarmed
